Cool cat Jason is heading for the Brindley

AWARD-WINNING comic and star of hit show 8 out of 10 Cats Jason Manford is returning to the Brindley in March.

The Salford-born comedian played to a sell-out crowd at the Runcorn venue last year and has pencilled in another date as part of his upcoming UK tour.

Manford’s career began purely by chance after he was asked to fill an empty slot while working as a glass collector at a comedy club.

Since then, the 27-year-old has gone on to scoop five awards, including the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain award and The List’s best comedy newcomer for his debut Edinburgh show Urban Legend.

In 2006 he won the Chortle Award for best breakthrough act and was also named the best stand up on the North West circuit.

Manford, who has also acted in Shameless and Cutting It, is coming to The Brindley on Monday, March 16.

Tickets for the gig are £14 and £12 concessions.
