A WISECRACKING family drama brings the latest season at Manchester’s Royal Exchange Theatre next week with a world premiere.
True Love Lies by Canadian playwright Brad Fraser is set in the ultra-cool world of Kane and Carolyn.
Packed with the author’s trademark one-liners and razor sharp wit, the play sees relationships stretched to breaking point as parents and children confront an emotional time bomb from the past.
Brad Fraser has forged a hugely successful relationship with the Exchange over the last 13 years. Previous RET productions of his work include Unidentified Human Remains and the True Nature of Love, Martin Yesterday, Snake in Fridge and Cold Meat Party.
The production is directed by Royal Exchange founding artistic director Braham Murray whose recent successes include The Glass Menagerie and Skellig.
The cast includes Teresa Banham, Amy Beth Hayes, Oliver Gomm, John Kirk and Jonny Phillips.
True Love Lies can be seen at the Royal Exchange from January 28-February 21. Ring the box office on 0161 833 9833 or visit www.royalexchange.co.uk/bookonline.
