HARD-riffing indie rock band Troops of Mafeking comes to The Box in Crewe on Friday, January 23.
The Stoke-based four piece headline the night, following top class support slots with The Subways and Gundogs.
The band’s heavy grunge sound is reminiscent of Queens of the Stone Age and they have the same passion for live performance.
Supporting them will be indie punk band Down In Paris, who take their name from George Orwell's book Down and out in Paris and London.
The band comes to Crewe following a support slot with Screaming Lights.
Further support comes from Crewe’s own Fake Heroes.
Formed in late 2005, the band includes front man Al Dopierala, guitarist Josh Strickland, Elliott Olliver on bass and drummer Mark Duignan.
Doors are from 8pm. Entry is £4.
