CHILDREN in Runcorn are being invited to take part in a special arts and crafts session aimed at remembering a loved one this Christmas.
The Butterfly Project, a scheme managed by the charity Action For Children, is hosting the session at Halton Lea Asda between 3-5pm, on Wednesday, December 17.
Youngsters who have been bereaved will be able to decorate a Christmas tree bauble which they can then take home and hang on their Christmas tree.
Jane Kean , a project spokeswoman, said: “Asda have very kindly provided the use of their customer café to host a session in memory of loved ones.
“Children find it a good way to be able to remember someone close to them who has died.
We hope by taking part in this session, children can feel they have done something they can treasure.”
The Butterfly Project offers support to families with children who are suffering from a life threatening or terminal illness, as well as bereaved youngsters and those with a parent who is terminally ill.
