VIVA Machine will be playing at Telford’s Warehouse in Chester on October 31.
Viva Machine’s single Robot Bodyrox will be released on iTunes and other digital sites on November 10. The single will also be available at gigs of limited edition vinyl as a double A-side with another song called Go! Go! Go! which will be released later in November digitally.
Formed in 2006 Viva Machine set about writing quirky pop songs combining three part harmonies with angular rhythms, big guitars and knife-esque synth sounds. They were quickly snapped up by Probation Management and sent out on the road.
After a few summer tours their debut single released on independent TPF records earned them a loyal following in many places.
They were nominated as Best Newcomer at the popfactory awards that year and caught the attention of Rocksound who included Viva in their top 100 bands to watch for 2007.
After completing more than 150 dates between June 2006 and summer 2007, sharing stages with the likes of Shiny Toy Guns and The Automatic, they locked themselves away in the studio to record their debut album with acclaimed producer Richard Jackson.
Tickets for the Chester gig are available by ringing 01244 390090.
