Vienna Festival Ballet bring Swan Lake to Wrexham

SWAN Lake, one of the best known love stories, performed by the ever popular Vienna Festival Ballet, comes to the William Aston Hall in Wrexham on Friday, October 17.

Lavish costumes, stunning scenery, international stars, and the glorious music from Tchaikovsky make this a night not to be missed.

Swan Lake is the most popular ballet in the world. It's the ballet that captures like no other the full range of human emotions - from hope to despair, from terror to tenderness, from melancholy to ecstasy.Š

The company, whose previous performances include La Sylphide/Rhapsody In Blue, The Nutcracker, Coppelia and most recently Sleeping Beauty, aims to provide talented international dancers with the opportunity to perform the great classical ballets around the world.

Founded by the vastly experienced Austrian dancer and artistic director, Peter Mallek, Vienna Festival Ballet uses young dancers giving a vitality, energy and a freshness to every performance.

The story centres around Prince Siegfried. While out hunting, the Prince meets with a flock of swans led by a Queen Swan who is under the evil spell of a magician, Baron Rothbart. He falls in love with the Queen of the Swans and tries to free them all. However, the magician has a few tricks up his sleeve. Will everything turn out well for the Prince and the Queen of the Swans?
