Adam rises to take that Robbie role

A CHESHIRE actor is paying tribute to Robbie Williams.

Adam C Booth is understudying the role portraying the Stoke-on-Trent superstar in the West End musical Never Forget at the Savoy Theatre.

The musical, written by BAFTA award winner Danny Brocklehurst (Shameless and Clocking Off), follows the trials of tribulations of a Take That tribute band.

Adam, 27, said: “I play the role of Bobby usually – he’s a guy who the manager of the band owes money to – but I’ve been playing Robbie quite a bit recently which is great.”

Born and brought up in Helsby, Adam went to St Nicholas Catholic High School in Northwich. He trained at his parents’ Chriska Stage School in Ellesmere Port and his mum Kathy and dad Chris now live in Frodsham.

Adam’s first television job was in ITV’s Children’s Ward at 15 and he later appeared in the C4 soap Hollyoaks, which is based in Chester. Other TV work includes Doctors and Where the Heart Is.

His stage appearances include Boogie Nights with Shane Ritchie, West Side Story and Mamma Mia in the West End.

Adam is enjoying his experience in London but is keen to return up north.

“I am really enjoying doing theatre work but eventually I would like to get back in to television. I’d love a part in Coronation Street!”

TV work would give Adam more time to catch up with his girlfriend Susan McFadden who won the TV reality show Grease is the Word.

She is currently on tour with a production of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.
