Arctic Monkeys film to be screened at Cheshire Oaks cinema

CHART topping band Arctic Monkeys have joined forces with Vue Entertainment to give fans across the UK the chance to see their last gig of 2007 on the big screen.

Arctic Monkeys at The Apollo will be screened at 33 Vue sites across the country for one night only on Tuesday, October including the cinema at Cheshire Oaks.

The 76 minute film of the last gig in the band’s acclaimed 2007 world tour at the Manchester Apollo has been captured on super 16mm film. The tour followed the release of the second album Favourite Worst Nightmare.

This will be distributed by Arts Alliance Media in 2K digital cinema with 5.1 surround sound, the highest quality of digital projection in cinemas today.

Arctic Monkeys are a hugely successful band who formed in 2002. Their two albums to date, Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not and Favourite Worst Nightmare have both been released to huge critical acclaim, and this live show features tracks from both albums.

The film is a cinematic feast with impressive and confidently held master shots - inviting the audience to immerse themselves in the style and force of the UK's most striking band as they deliver one of their most intense performances to date.

The one night only screening will feature an exclusive, personal introduction to the film by the band, filmed by Richard Ayoade.
