Rockers headline music festival

REVITALISED rockers, The Automatic, intend to put Cheshire’s latest music festival on the map.

New single Steve McQueen is in the top 20 so mass interest in the Cowbridge four-piece should see thousands of fans flock to the Frodsham Music Festival on Saturday, September 6.

Having had a top 10 hit with Monster in 2006, The Automatic headline a massive bill of 12 bands after wooing crowds at Reading and Leeds.

Organiser Mark Rowland, 41, has been a roadie at the likes of Glastonbury for years. “I have worked on festivals like Glastonbury and I thought why not do it myself?” he said. Staged on fields at Lady Heyes Craft Centre, it all starts from 12.30pm until 11pm with camping available.

Tickets are £30 and camping is £10 for three nights. For further information and sales, call 07931 886690.
