A touch of magic for children and adults is coming to Chester’s Forum Studio Theatre with performer Paul Dabek.
If his face looks familiar you might remember his performance as Lucifer in Chester Mystery Plays earlier this summer.
Paul is a highly accomplished magician, having spent the past three years travelling the world with his art, and is also becoming an established name for his work as a magical consultant.
Paul’s childhood passion for magic grew into a career and was further boosted by winning the Magic Circle’s Young Magician of the Year in 2003 and his appearances on various television shows.
Returning home for the summer this year, Paul was commissioned to design some of the visual effects for the 2008 Chester Mystery Plays including a sword of flames, the appearance of one of the show’s main characters and a huge spinning crucifix.
Paul returns to Chester this weekend with his own magical shows.
For the youngsters, Paul will be presenting Magical Mayhem! on August 9 and 10 at 2pm at The Forum Studio Theatre, Hamilton Place, Chester. A show suitable for children aged 4-10, Dabek will be combining magic, comedy, puppetry, music, audience participation and lots of fun. All tickets are £5.
On the evenings of August 8 and 9 at 7.30pm he will present An Evening with Paul Dabek, a rerun of his sell-out, one-man show which was performed in February.
Tickets are priced £10, £8 concessions. Ring the box office on 01244 341296 or visit www.tiptopproductions.co.uk
