Stunning stars of the music world will be providing a feast for the ears and eyes at Pop in the Park in Nantwich this weekend.
Tonight (Friday) sees classical stars Katherine Jenkins and Blake open the three day event at Dorfold Park.
Pop kings McFly are appearing on Saturday alongside electro-pop punk outfit Go Audio and local heroes Sgt Wolfbanger.
McFly say they are nervously anticipating seeing Girls Aloud backstage at the event.
Singer Tom, 22, says: “We love Girls Aloud but whenever we bump into them we get all tongue-tied. We looked like complete walleys when we met them on the set of Top of the Pops. None of us could think of anything to say!”
The band are known for their dedicated female fans but the lads remain bashful about their pin-up image and the army of screaming girls who wait hours to catch a glimpse of them.
Tom says: “Sometimes we ask ourselves “What do they see in us”. We are just like normal lads.
“We all live next door to each other in the same street in London and don’t do the starry things people might expect. We don’t go to wild parties, nothing like that. We have all just acquired pets and like nipping round to see each other to hang out and watch TV.
Girls Aloud, The Saturdays, former Blue frontman Simon Webbe and soloist Natalia will appear on Sunday, the final night of the three-day music festival.
Girls Aloud, made up of Cheryl, Kimberley, Nadine, Nicola and Sarah, first came to the nation’s attention in 2002, as the winners of Popstars: The Rivals.
For six years they have dominated the charts with hits such as Jump, Love Machine, Something Kinda Ooooh and Call The Shots.
Webbe started his career boy band Blue and his first solo single, Lay Your Hands, peaked at number four in 2005 and his solo album, Sanctuary, has gone double platinum.
Sassy and talented, The Saturdays are on tour with their label-mates Girls Aloud. They make their grand entrance with If This Is Love on Fascination Records on July 28.
Welsh soloist Natalia was quickly snapped up by record producers after putting some of her songs on MySpace.
