Hollyoaks star joins Liverpool Empire panto cast

ANOTHER name has been added to the all-star cast list of Cinderella, this year’s pantomime at Liverpool Empire Theatre - Hollyoaks star Nick Pickard has been confirmed to play Dandini.

Nick will join Cilla Black, who returns to her native city to play the Fairy Godmother, alongside actress, model and singer Jennifer Ellison as Cinderella, comedian and TV star Les Dennis as Buttons and actor Ted Robbins as Baron Hardup.

Radio presenter Pete Price and Brick up the Mersey Tunnels star Roy Brandon play the Ugly Sisters.

Nick Pickard has played Tony Hutchinson in Hollyoaks since its inception in 1995 (he is the show's longest serving cast member) and his break to perform in Cinderella is to be written into the show.

In keeping with the all-Liverpool connection, although Nick was not born in Liverpool the city has become his adopted home.

Nick said: “This is so amazing to be making my pantomime debut with the greatest cast, at the most beautiful theatre and in the European Capital of Culture. Really looking forward to having a great Christmas this year.”

Cinderella can be seen from December 11-January 4. Ring the box office on 0844 847 2525 or visit www.LiverpoolEmpire.org.uk.
