Steve Earle to play Liverpool Phil

STEVE Earle is playing at Liverpool’s Philharmonic Hall on Sunday.
After a rare three-year break from recording, Grammy Award winner Earle released Washington Square Serenade, an album of new music, in October 2007, his first for New West Records.
In addition to recording and preparing for live shows, which included the Cambridge Folk Festival in July and the Austin City Limits Festival in Austin, Texas, Earle will appear in his recurring role as Waylon in the final season of HBO's distinguished television drama series, The Wire.
