Age Concern show aims to attract older theatregoers

SHOW PREVIEW/The Afternoon Show

OLDER people will be given an opportunity to take part in a traditional variety show hosted by famous West End entertainer Peter Karrie.

The Afternoon Show will tour throughout Wales and forms part of the Gwanwyn festival – an initiative by Age Concern Cymru and the Arts Council of Wales.

The show will house all aspects of a complete modern day variety show including music, singing, dancing, laughing and winning prizes. It will also feature a star performer, sing-a-longs from different decades, a ‘request’ spot, dance routines, interval bingo, comedy, and a programme prize draw. All the performances will be captured by a professional photographer.

The Afternoon Show comes to Venue Cymru in Llandudno on Wednesday, June 18 at 2pm. Tickets are on sale now priced £12, £10 for over 65s and free for patrons over 90. Call the box office on 01492 872000 or visit www.venuecymru.co.uk to book your tickets now.
