Veteran stars of Jeeves play at Crewe Lyceum

AN ALL-star cast appears at Crewe’s Lyceum Theatre later this month in classic PG Wodehouse comedy Come On, Jeeves.

Anita Harris and Victor Spinetti head a line-up which also includes Derren Nesbitt, who played the Major von Hapen in Where Eagles Dare, The Bill’s Myfanwy Waring and Judy Buxton from On The Up.

While Bertie Wooster is out of town his gentleman’s gentleman, the inimitable Jeeves, is on loan to the Earl of Towcaster.

With a furious punter on his heels, a loud, wealthy, widowed American clairvoyant wanting to buy the Earl’s crumbling old mansion house and his fiancée and his family asking awkward questions, only Jeeves can sort out the mess in his usual impeccable style.

Come On, Jeeves runs at the Lyceum from Monday, May 19, to Saturday, May 24. Shows start at 7.30pm, with a 2.30pm Saturday matinee.

For tickets, priced from £8.50-£16.50, telephone 01270 537333 or visit www.lyceumtheatre.net.
