THEY seek him here, they seek him there…
The Scarlet Pimpernel will be obvious for all to see when the Birkenhead Operatic Society stage their most expensive and ambitious production to date at the Liverpool Empire next week.
Following the huge success of Oliver! in 2007, BOST have decided to support Liverpool's year as European Capital of Culture by premiering a Broadway favourite in the city.
The Scarlet Pimpernel is a lavish smash hit Broadway musical, running for over 700 performances, and has been nominated for three Tony Awards during its run. Based on the novel by Baroness Orczy, the action is set during the French Revolution, the plot is filled with treachery, romance and comedy and climaxes in a dramatic swordfight.
The Scarlet Pimpernel can be seen from Wednesday, May 14-Saturday, May 17. Ring the box office on 0844 847 2525.
