Rock legend Rick Wakeman comes to Wrexham

THE only person to have appeared in every one of BBCs Grumpy Old Men, Rick Wakeman, suddenly found himself in a new guise as a highly in-demand raconteur.

This mixed with his unique style of piano and keyboard playing and resulted in some highly successful sell out one man shows around the world.

Although now retired from lengthy touring, he always said he would continue with a limited number of live performances, and to this end he put together a show for 2007 in which he told much of his life story using film and pictures, coupled with some great music from the piano and keyboards.

Now he is bringing that show to the William Aston Hall in Wrexham on Saturday, May 3.

One of rock's most legendary stars groans, moans and rants his way through the frustrations, irritations and issues of modern life.

Delivered in side-splitting fashion, this hilarious one-man show also traces the extraordinary life, times, and escapades of Grumpy old Wakeman, enhanced with rare photographs, music and previously unseen footage.

Tickets for his Wrexham show cost £24 and can be obtained on 01978 292015.
