Ice dancing has come out of the cold and much-loved ice dancer Slater is taking to the ice again.

Former British champion and current Dancing on Ice judge Nicky Slater spins, turns and flips his way through his life story in his new show, Ice Times.

Nicky skates through his stories and brings the history of ice dancing alive. Packed with anecdotes, Ice Times is the story of ice dancing and Nicky’s life on ice.

From Queen Victoria’s time to today, from Nicky’s first steps to winning gold, from champion skater to Dancing on Ice judge, Ice Times offers a mix of fun story-telling and insights into the world of ice dancing.

Performing with his new skating partner on a special ice floor, Nicky presents his stories on ice, demonstrates routines and shows how ice dancing has developed.

He explains what makes great partnerships on ice and gives the audience a chance to raise their questions in a Dancing on Ice Q&A.

Host Nicky Slater has ice dance in his blood. His parents were world ice dance champions and he was Junior World Champion at the age of 18.

Nicky grew up skating alongside fellow champions Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean and with his final partner – Dancing on Ice judge Karen Barber – they became British champions and were much loved for their Charlie Chaplin routine.

Dancing on Ice has brought a new audience to the ice dance phenomenon, taking ice dancing out of the cold and into the mainstream. Ice Times offers a fresh and personal view into the world of ice dancing.
