Duo’s Journey South reaches Birkenhead

Gigs/Journey South

REALITY TV rejects Journey South appear at Pacific Road Arts Centre, Birkenhead, on Sunday June 15.

Pop duo Journey South, made up of Andy (31) and Carl (26) began back when Carl was only 18, cutting their teeth gigging round the North East and London.

After entering the X-Factor in 2005, the duo made it straight through to the final and quickly became household names with their unique ability to make any song completely their own.

On the show they performed big stadium anthems by the likes of U2 and Bon Jovi, classic ballads from Robbie Williams and Elton John and of course their unforgettable take on Roberta Flack’s ‘First Time Ever I Saw Your Face’.

Although they narrowly missed winning the show, they were immediately snapped up by Simon Cowell and signed to BMG.

Soon after Andy and Carl went on to release their platinum selling self-titled debut album and entered the UK Charts at No 1.

Now, after releasing their second album ‘Home’ on the 22nd October 2007, Journey South have embarked on their ‘Home 2008’ tour, bringing their brilliant harmonies and unique performances to venues all across the UK.

Journey South appears at Pacific Road Arts Centre, Birkenhead, on Sunday June 15. For tickets contact box office 0151 647 0752. Book on-line at www.pacificroad.co.uk
