High School Musical on ice returns to MEN Arena

DISNEY’S High School Musical: The Ice Tour is returning to the North West next year, following its sell-out tour in January, and tickets are on sale now.

From February 4-8 2009, Manchester’s MEN Arena will be hosting the team-spirited, fun-filled pop culture craze, made popular by the Emmy Award-winning Disney Channel Original Movie, Disney’s High School Musical.

Produced by Feld Entertainment and Kenny Ortega, Disney’s High School Musical: The Ice Tour will feature scenes from both the original movie and the highly anticipated sequel, Disney’s High School Musical 2.

The cast of Eastside High’s own Troy, Gabriella, Chad, Ryan, Taylor and Sharpay will be recruited from the most talented skaters from around the world.

They will be heating up the ice performing infectious tunes and signature choreography from both movies. With the ice as a dance floor, the skaters are bound to have audiences singing and clapping along to music from the chart-topping High School Musical CD, including We’re all in this together and Start of Something New.

Steven Armstrong, European marketing director of Feld Entertainment, producers of Disney’s High School Musical: The Ice Tour, said: “This show is absolutely phenomenal and I’m so pleased the tour is returning to Manchester next year. The show completely sold out last time it came to the North West so this tour will give people the opportunity to see it if they missed out in January.

“Fans are bound to snap up tickets quickly though, so people should get their tickets now to avoid being disappointed.”

Tickets range in price from £11.50-£33.50. Ring the box office on 0870 190 8000 or visit www.men-arena.com.
