Comedian John Bishop at The Brindley

MULTI-award-winning comedian and native Runcorn lad, John Bishop, is coming back to The Brindley next month for a homecoming gig as part of his national tour.

The tour follows filming for John's first first feature film Whores With Guns, which is due for release later in 2008.

Until this year he worked in marketing during the day and spent his nights moonlighting in the world of comedy. Now he has finally taken that long-awaited leap of faith, handed in his notice and become a full-time stand-up.

John has been performing stand-up since November, 2000 and is currently one of the comedy circuits most popular headliners.

He comes to the venue on Saturday, April 19 from 8pm. Prices are £12 with £10 concessions.
