Right now it may feel as though the cold weather is set to last – but it won’t be long before we can cast off those warm woollen coats and opt for something a little lighter.

This is where macs come into their own – the perfect choice to get us from winter to spring.

And there is no longer anything beige about macs – they have become a real designer’s favourite and have undergone a make-over this season.

First thing to notice is the colour – bold enough to brighten up the dullest day. Then there is the cut – softer and more feminine than ever before.

Sleeve lengths tend to be shorter with lots of strapping and ties and fabrics are softer so they drape.
