Oh What a Lovely War to be staged at Liverpool Playhouse

LANDMARK satirical musical Oh What a Lovely War is coming to the Liverpool Playhouse.

Having first graced the London stage in 1963, the new production from Northern Stage reinvents the groundbreaking classic to show that it has lost none of its power and urgency.

A spokesman, said: “Featuring a madcap orchestra of musicians, dancers, singers and clowns who come armed with musical ingenuity and bawdy squaddie humour, Oh What a Lovely War is an entertaining and exuberant ride through the ironies and tragedies of the First World War.Š

The show starts at 7.30pm and runs from March 30-April 3.
