CELEBRATIONS have started at Helsby High School following another set of outstanding GCSE results.
This year’s results exceeded all expectations with pupils gaining a 91% achieving a minimum of five A*-to- C grades.
Headteacher Richard Evans said: "I am delighted that the pupils’ enthusiasm, commitment and hard work have been rewarded by these outstanding results.
"I would like to congratulate all of the pupils on their tremendous achievements and join with them in recognising the support, encouragement and high quality teaching that they have received from the staff at the school and the excellent support they have received from their parents during their time at Helsby.
"We are extremely fortunate in having so many excellent teachers who dedicate so much of their time in helping all the pupils to achieve their potential at school."
A very happy Frodsham family toasted their success after Aoife Haymer, sister Ciara and brother Paul, all gained top grades.
Aoife received 11.5 A* grades while Ciara and Paul gained 10 grades at A* and A.
Stephen Waugh, of Norley, gained 11 grades at A* while Alex Pegler, of Crowton, gained 10 A* grades.
A total of 27 pupils received 10 or more grades at A* or A, including: Rosa Atkinson, of Kingsley; Alexander Burgess, of Helsby; Joshua Butler, of Kingsley; Samuel Colvin, of Helsby; Timothy Cullen, of Kingsley; Nicholas Cunniffe, of Kingsley; Caroline Dunseath, of Helsby; Sarah Feldman, of Kingsley; Connor Gamble, of Manley; Emily Goodier, of Ashton; Jennifer Hayes, of Frodsham; Francis Hunt, of Kingsley; Esmee Lobley, of Helsby; Kate Mann, of Helsby; Danielle Meyer, of Ashton Hayes; Hannah Partington, of Alvanley; Matthew Phillips, of Helsby; Edward Rose, of Helsby; Laura Sharkey, of Helsby; Stuart Snow, of Norley; Zoe Tattersall, of Manley; and Alastair Young, of Helsby.
All pupils in Year 11 achieved a minimum of five A*-to-G grades at GCSE.
