A FANTASTIC year was celebrated at Frodsham High School as the specialist technology college received its final set of GCSE results.
An impressive 85% of students achieved a grade C or better in ICT, 93% of science students celebrated a 68% pass rate, while the average points score for all students was an impressive 355.
Headteacher Anna Cooper said: "Every congratulation is due to the wonderful staff who achieved all this under the most difficult and stressful of personal circumstances.
"They are totally committed and always demanded the highest standards. Our students worked hard and today is one of great celebration."
Jenny Ma, who arrived at the school speaking virtually no English, achieved an A*, an A, two Bs and two Cs and is going on to study A levels.
Individual students who are celebrating successes are: Hayley Barnard, three A*, five As and two Bs; James Dans, six As, one B and credit in extended certificate; Stephanie Davies six As, two Bs and credit in diploma; Ian Hawkes seven As, one B and two Cs; Anthony Hulme five As, one B, one C and credit in diploma; Callum McLean seven As and credit in diploma; Rachel Sewell, three A*s, three As, a B, a C and credit in diploma.
Eight students passed the Scottish Power Young Apprentice Scheme with Matthew Guy being nominated for two national awards.
