OUTSTANDING grades and an overall pass rate of more than 99% greeted students who arrived at Bishop Heber High School for their GCSE results.
More than three quarters of all results were A*-C and a third of all results were grades A and A*.
A total of 26 pupils achieved the top A and A* grades in at least eight subjects, including Alexandra Black (Whitchurch); Terri Houston (Ightfield); Robin Trigg (Whitchurch); Joanna Bilcliffe (Cuddington); Adam Davies (Farndon); Emma Dimelow (Chorlton); Mary-Jane Dodd (Tattenhall); Emma Ewins (Shocklach); Alex Hunter (Tilston); Daniel Tweedie (Rossett); Lauren Wilson (Tattenhall); Tom Young (Tilston); Jack Chandler (Malpas); Helen Duley (Threapwood); Jack Featherstone (Tattenhall); Ellie Mitchell (Churton) and Alex Morgan (Higher Wych) who all gained 10 or more A/A* grades.
The results in English Literature, Maths, Sciences, Religious Education, Design and Technology, History, Art, Geography and Business Studies are all considerably above national expectations.
Delighted Headteacher, David Curry, said that students should be "justifiably proud of their fantastic results".
He added: "My warmest congratulations to all our students who with the tireless support of their teachers and families have worked extremely hard. This has been another very good year for GCSEs at Heber.
"We are all delighted with the overall pass rates and these results highlight the excellent learning and teaching that takes place here year after year.
"We are looking forward to welcoming students into the Sixth Form when term starts for them on Wednesday September 2 and with these results, can be confident they will go on to emulate the A and AS Level successes we celebrated with our Sixth Form students last week."
Students from across the ability range achieved results that demonstrate superb progress and were in many cases better than their predicted grades.
In addition to their GCSE successes, Year 11 students also made valuable contributions to the school and wider community in many ways, including raising money for charity and as sports leaders.
