The King’s School A-level results have smashed all previous records.
More than 88.7% of students gained A or B grades and 96.8% scored A-C grades.
Chris Ramsey, headteacher said: "This is the best ever set of results.Congratulations go to all our students who have worked with determination and commitment to get these superb results and thanks go also to our dedicated teachers who have helped them achieve their potential.
"The success was across the board with ten department subjects achieving nothing lower than A/B grades."
More than 41% of the students gained straight A grades in all subjects.
Sam Menzies of Chester achieved five grade As, a further 12 students achieved four Grade As and 27 students gained three As.
Six students are going to Oxford or Cambridge and around 12 are going to Medical or Dentistry schools.
