Abbey Gate College A-level results

SIXTH formers at Abbey Gate College have all made the grade at A-level and AS-level this year.

Students managed a 100% A-level pass rate, with 84% of those grades reaching A, B or C.

Headteacher Lynne Horner said she was delighted with the schools results.

She said: "The students have worked really hard and thoroughly deserve their success.

"Competition for University places has been particularly tough this year and I must commend the teachers and students for their commitment and achievements. I am very pleased for them."

Straight As were secured by head boy Alex Mathews, Michael Evans and Katie Bates with a string of top grades also for Jessica Kelly, Fayona Cowperthwaite, Todd Carter, Jenny Kite and Stephanie Campbell Woodward.

Most of the students are now off to their first choice university with the A level results they were hoping for and happy memories of their school days at Abbey Gate.
