Sports massage at west Cheshire College
SPORTSMEN and women in need of pre and post event massages are being offered access to some of the area’s up-and-coming sports therapists.
Students at West Cheshire College currently studying for their Level 3 diploma in sports massage therapy are looking for people in need of therapeutic massage so they can hone their healing skills.
Tutor Simon O’Brien said: "Everyone on the course already has a therapy background and is looking to extend their skills into sports massage therapy.
"I know they’re good because I’ve injured my leg during my training for this year’s marathon and I’m feeling the benefits of the therapy already!"
Sports massage therapy is ideal for soft tissue injuries like ligaments, tendons and muscles. Students are able to offer hot/cold therapy and mechanical massage aids for before or after sporting events or for anyone suffering general aches and pains.
Simon said: "Individuals or entire sports teams are welcome to book for sessions which will be held each Wednesday evening from 6pm at the College’s Ellesmere Port campus."
Massages cost £5 each and can be booked by calling the Bodyworks reception on 01244 670350.
