Bumper accountancy course at West Cheshire College

AN innovative Fast-Track AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) course has been launched by West Cheshire College.

Aimed at young people wishing to kick-start a career in accountancy or those who wish to progress on to Higher Education, the full-time course offers the chance to complete four qualifications in just one year.

Starting on September 28 and delivered over two and half days each week, learners will complete the AAT Certificate in Accountancy Level 2, AAT Advanced Certificate in Accounting Level 3, ILM (Institute of Leadership and Management) Certificate in Team Leading and Beginners SAGE.

Carol Trasler, Assistant Manager for Management and Enterprise at the College, said: “This intensive course offers a great opportunity for young people to gain essential qualifications that will make them instantly employable within the accountancy industry.

“Alternatively, it opens up new routes to progress on to Higher Education such as our Foundation Degree in Accountancy.”

The course, which will also include work placement opportunities, is open to prospective students with GCSEs in Maths and English as well as one AS Level.
