ACCESS to higher education and the professions are to be the focus of a dedicated open evening at West Cheshire College tomorrow (Thursday, September 3).
From 5.30pm to 7.30pm the College’s Chester Campus in Eaton Road, Handbridge, will be staging an HE and Professional Open Evening to give people an opportunity to discover where learning can take them.
Principal Sara Mogel said: "This open evening is aimed at anyone who wants to enter higher education but doesn’t have the qualifications; or for people who want to enter professions like HR and accountancy or further advance their professional skills.
"Subject specialists will be on hand to talk about professional development and what study options are available and appropriate to individual experience, job role or existing qualifications."
West Cheshire College’s HE and Professional Courses are accredited by leading professional bodies and well-respected by employers which mean they could be a key to promotion or a route to a new career.
Some bursaries are also available for full and part-time Foundation Degree students.
Among the experts available for advice will be HR professionals, accountants, IT practitioners, business managers and engineers as well as FE teachers, early years practitioners and trainers.
