CHESTER chalked up an impressive away win which came despite a number of late cry-offs.
Coach Martian Platt shuffled his pack well and was rewarded with a fifth win of the season in the Bateman Premier League.
There were tries from second row James Purdy, talismanic skipper and No8 Barry Holmes, centre Gaz Coy, fullback Pete Rees and a brace from powerful scrum-half Lee Renox.
Fly-half and winger Nathan Swallbrick kicked the rest of the points.
The ever-improving Purdy was named man of the match for Chester 2nds, who take on Fylde 2nds at Hare Lane this Saturday (3pm).
In Division Four West of the University of Salford League on Saturday, Christleton fell to a 34-29 loss at home to Liverpool St Helens 3rds. The Chester side are away to Southport 3rds this Saturday.
Helsby are due to return to action in South Lancs/Cheshire Three with a match at Port Sunlight.
