Queen’s School reigns at King’s Chester in mini-hockey tournament

CITY rivals Queen’s reigned supreme at King’s School Chester to become finalists at an under 13 mini hockey tournament.

The national tournament, organised by Cheshire Schoolgirls and Youth Hockey Association, saw teams from the city and the county take part.

And it was Queen’s who finished ahead of their local counterparts although Macclesfield outfit Fallibroome dampened their fire a little by taking the title.

Both schools will represent Cheshire in the national competitions to be held in spring.

King’s A also had a lot to shout about after they grabbed third place overall by seeing off the challenges of Alderley Edge and King’s B.
