INTERNATIONAL water polo star Hayley Langridge has been named Liverpool & District player of the year.

The Great Britain youth teamer shares the accolade with international team-mate Alice Byrne.

Hayley plays for City of Chester as well as City of Liverpool, where she is a club colleague of Alice’s.

Both Hayley, of Vicars Cross, and Alice, of Widnes, were picked for the European Youth Championships in Gyor, Hungary in August.
