Riley’s went into an early 2-0 lead through Lea Stephens and Alan Cheers, but John Mooney and Matty Done made it 2-2 by defeating Ian Garland and Lee Mayers. Dave Done made it 3-2 to the home side with a comfortable win over Anthony Garland, and Dave Smith completed the job.
Conservative A opened their season with a warning to last year’s champions, beating Liberal 6-0.
