Racing: Midsummer Madness comes to Roodee

Tonight’s meeting is a new fixture in the Roodee calendar and is expected to be hugely popular.

Chester Racecourse has teamed up with tote, Heathcotes and Carlsberg to offer a Midsummer Madness ticket package entitling racegoers to bet, eat and drink in the Tattersalls enclosure for £28.

Tickets are also available for the County Stand.

Gates open at 4.30pm with the first race starting at 6.45pm.

Midsummer fun continues tomorrow with one of the most popular meetings of the year.

Dee and Open Stand tickets are available but County Stand and Tattersals sold out in early May.

The first race starts at 2.15pm and a crowd of 30,000 is expected.
