Grapes A (Brian Hough 21-4) had a full house against Red Lion B, as did Goshawk A (Marion Faulkner 21-5) against Castle Park A.

Red Lion A (Neville Mathias 21-3) dropped just two chalks versus Pavilions A, while Helsby D (Derek Watkinson 21-6) were too good for Goshawk B.

Division Two’s Helsby B (Pat Newhouse 21-3, Graham Yearsley 21-4) won at Castle Park B, while Egerton A triumphed at Helsby A.

Norton Arms B (David Hughes 21-4, Jon Teretta 21-5) sent Conservative Club A packing and are third.

Manley A had a 21-7 from Brian Cox 21-7 in a home win over Grapes B (Alf Russell 21-5), the visitors a player short.

A full house, including five single-figure winners, over Egerton B puts Halton A top of Division Three.

Close behind are Conservative Club B (Ed Carter 21-6) who won all blocks against visiting Willow Brook B and Pavilions D who lost at home to Kingsley A.

Kingswood A (H Bangor-Jones 21-0, Gordon Brown 21-4) saw off visiting Norton Arms A lead Division Four.

Chetwode Bs win over Manley B (Chris Cowap 21-7) puts them second just ahead of Helsby C, winners at Hazel Pear (Colin Healy 21-5).

Halton B were high-scoring losers at Kingsley B. Union Tavern’s Barry Hopley 21-6 was the pick of their five single figure winners in defeat of Spinner and Bergamot.
