Call for Carberry

England have called up Hampshire batsman Michael Carberry as cover for Paul Collingwood for the third Test against South Africa in Cape Town.

Collingwood dislocated his left index finger on the fourth morning of the second Test, which ended with an innings-and-98-run victory for England today.

X-rays revealed Collingwood had broken no bones, and England are optimistic that he will still be fit to take part at Newlands in the next Test of the four-match series, starting on January 3.
