Vaughan and Pienaar claim Toffees win

Everton eased their relegation fears with two late goals to secure their first home league win since September as they defeated 10-man Burnley 2-0.

Substitute James Vaughan grabbed the first, less than a minute after entering the action, and Steven Pienaar rifled home the second in injury time.

Burnley were reduced to 10 men after a hour when Stephen Jordan was sent-off for a second bookable offence.
