Away goal puts Gunners on top

Arsenal came from behind to secure a 1-1 draw from Tuesday night's Champions League quarter-final first leg against Villarreal at El Madrigal.

Captain Marcos Senna smashed in a brilliant 25-yard strike to give the hosts a half-time lead as Arsenal lost goalkeeper Manuel Almunia and centre-half William Gallas to injury.

However, Emmanuel Adebayor volleyed the Gunners level on 66 minutes as Arsene Wenger's men left with a crucial away goal.
