Weather accounts for weekend games

Snow and icy conditions have accounted for five games in the Football League this weekend.

Saturday's Coca-Cola Championship match between Barnsley and Crystal Palace at Oakwell has been postponed and the clash between Charlton and Cardiff at The Valley is also off.

Also postponed were the Bristol Rovers v Huddersfield, Yeovil v Northampton and Hereford v Brighton in League One.

In Scotland, Airdrie's Homecoming Scottish Cup fifth-round tie against Dunfermline on Saturday has also fallen victim.

After the midweek football programme was decimated, further matches could go as pitch inspections are held around the country.
