Andrew Flintoff failed to add to his overnight score as England lost two early wickets on the second day of the first Test at Sabina Park.
All-rounder Flintoff, who persuaded the team management of his fitness following a side strain on the eve of the series opener, guided a long hop straight to point in only the third over of the morning to fall for 43 in a score of 274 for seven.
Stuart Broad also departed to the second new ball, taken in the second over of the day, when he sliced a drive at Jerome Taylor straight to gully. But wicketkeeper Matt Prior passed 50 for the seventh time in his 13 Test appearances to keep Andrew Strauss' team on course for a total in excess of 300.
Prior drove exquisitely throughout, aside from the stroke that brought up his half-century, an edge to the third man boundary.
