HE’S JUST BEEN UNBELIEVA-BELL for liverpool fc says dirk kuyt

DIRK KUYT has hailed the “unbelievable” form of fellow Liverpool frontman Craig Bellamy.

The Dutchman, who played alongside Bellamy for the Reds during the 2006/07 season, believes the Welshman is better than during his first spell at Anfield.

Bellamy has been a revelation since signing on a free transfer from Manchester City last August and is the Reds’ top scorer on nine goals.

“Craig has been unbelievable,” Kuyt said.

“He came late in August and we did not pay a transfer fee.

“He has been a brilliant signing for us and looks even better now than he did the first time he came here.

“It’s not very often you can say that about a player who plays for a club in two spells.

“Usually the first time is better but this time, with Craig in better shape, he knows exactly what he can do and he’s really professional in training every day, not just helping himself but the whole of the squad.”

RODOLFO BORRELL believes his Liverpool Reserves youngsters will benefit from the experience of playing with first team players.

Fabio Aurelio, Jon Flanagan, Jonjo Shelvey, Sebastian Coates, Jack Robinson and Brad Jones were all involved in the second string’s 4-0 win over Norwich City on Tuesday.

“The boss let me know these lads needed a game, so we used the reserve fixture to let them play and I am happy for them,” reserves boss Borrell said. “It is a great boost in terms of experience surrounding the younger lads on the pitch. They are getting experience playing in the reserve league and the NextGen Series, but sharing the dressing room and the pitch with these important players.”
