LIVERPOOL'S reward for knocking Manchester United out of the FA Cup is a home tie with Brighton in the fifth round.
The Reds will face Gus Poyet's Championship outfit at Anfield on the weekend of February 18/19.
It will be the second time this season the clubs have met with Liverpool having beaten the Seagulls in the third round of the Carling Cup back in September.
Kenny Dalglish's side won 2-1 at the Amex Stadium that night thanks to goals from Craig Bellamy and Dirk Kuyt.
Brighton are currently 10th in the Championship, just four points adrift of the play-offs.
They booked their place in the fifth round with an impressive 1-0 victory over Premier League side Newcastle United on Saturday evening.
The last time Liverpool faced Brighton in the FA Cup was 1991. After a 2-2 draw at Anfield, the Reds won the replay 3-2.
Brighton famously knocked the Reds out of the FA Cup at Anfield in February 1983 when former Reds star Jimmy Case netted the winner. The Seagulls repeated the trick at the Goldstone Ground a year later.
