Liverpool FC: Joey Barton thanks Kop for warm reception

JOEY BARTON paid tribute to the Kop after he received a warm ovation on Saturday.

The QPR midfielder was a vocal supporter of the online petition urging the Government to agree to full disclosure of all documents relating to the Hillsborough disaster. It attracted more than 141,000 signatures.

Via Twitter, Barton said: “Just like to say thanks to the Kop for their reception today. Means a lot.”
