JOE RAFFERTY has revealed his pride at being made skipper of Liverpool Under-18s.
The Irish youth international defender said: “It’s hard to describe how pleased I am to be captain. I’ve been here since the age of nine.
“It’s especially pleasing because I’m a local lad who has supported Liverpool all of my life and gone to so many matches as a kid.
“I was born in the city and I’ve grown up with all my mates supporting Liverpool. Now I play for that club. It’s crazy but it’s fantastic too.”
