AC MILAN are yet to follow up their interest in Liverpool’s Alberto Aquilani, according to the player’s agent.
Vice president Adriano Galliani recently admitted he’s the type of midfielder the Serie A outfit are keen to land but there has been no official approach.
Agent Franco Zavaglia said: “The Rossoneri, for now, haven’t stepped forward for him. There were the words of Galliani but no other signal.
“As a result I can’t tell you what kind of offer the club could potentially make for my client – in regards to a loan or a permanent switch. We’ll have to just wait.”
Meanwhile, Newcastle manager Alan Pardew is still hoping Liverpool transfer target Jose Enrique stays at St James’ Park.
The Spanish left-back only has one year remaining on his contract and has refused to sign a new deal.
However, boss Pardew said: “I keep looking at him and smiling, hoping he is going to stay.”
“He smiles but hasn’t signed a contract yet. He was terrific against Fiorentina and showed why I want to keep him.”
