Liverpool FC players give support to Caroline Wozniacki as she seeks Wimbledon title

LIVERPOOL fan Caroline Wozniacki has received good luck messages from some of her Anfield heroes as she chases a first grand slam title at Wimbledon.

But the coy Dane, who reached the fourth round on Saturday, is so tired of being linked with a new man every week that she will not reveal who has been in touch.

Top seed Wozniacki recently had to laugh off talk of a romance with Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner.

“I’ve met many of them (Liverpool players). I’ve got messages from some of them wishing me good luck,” she said.

“The last three weeks I’ve been in the spotlight, supposedly dating every single guy I eat dinner with.”

Wozniacki was less shy when she met the former Manchester United striker Dwight Yorke at the recent Champions League final.

“Since I’m a Liverpool supporter, obviously I wanted Barcelona to win,” said Wozniacki.

“I met Dwight Yorke there. He teased me a little bit about who won the (Premier League) trophy, who was in the Champions League finals. He asked me what I was doing there. I just told him: ‘Hey, listen, I’m here to support Barça. I’m sorry’.”
