Blue Boys: Everton U-18s beat Wigan in friendly as they prepare for Bolton showdown

WIGAN Athletic provided the opposition as Everton U-18s ran out 4-2 winners in a behind closed doors friendly at Finch Farm on Tuesday.

The game was arranged to help some of Kevin Sheedy’s squad who are returning from injury, and both Hallam Hope and Anton Forester scored braces, while Swedish defender Johan Hammar also featured.

The Blues are now preparing to face Bolton Wanderers in their penultimate league game of the season. Sheedy said: “We need to win our next two games to finish third which is our aim now.”
