Royal Blue: Everton

WHEN the worlds of football and pop music collide, the alarm bells usually start to ring.

Despite everyone’s best efforts, few will forget Chris Waddle and Glenn Hoddle’s shoulder pad clad appearance on Top of the Pops as they belted out the atrocious Diamond Lights.

Some years later Andy Cole tried his hand on an assault of the pop charts with his single Outstanding. It was anything but.

This week, it was the turn of former Everton winger Kevin Kilbane to demonstrate his vocal prowess.

Filmed in a dimly lit Poland bar, Killer summoned up all his powers of performance to give a truly breathtaking rendition of Vanilla Ice’s smash hit Ice Ice Baby.

Whilst fellow customers clearly enjoyed the former Irish international’s talent for rapping, it’s unlikely a recording contract will be in the offing anytime soon.
